$14M Renovation Begins on 68-Unit Corpus Christi’s Glenoak

Affordable housing developer Prospera Housing Community Services has launched renovations on the 68-unit Glenoak Apartments in Corpus Christi, TX’s Flour Bluff neighborhood. The $14 million project is scheduled for re-opening in June 2017. Current residents of the Glenoak Apartments will be temporarily relocated, while the complex undergoes a complete demolition and reconstruction.

The redo of the property at 711 Glenoak received a $476,000 Affordable Housing Program grant from Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and Wells Fargo. The grant provided gap funding for the complex.

“The AHP grant will assist us in providing very low-income residents a quality place to live,” said Brenda Garza, with Prospera. We are grateful to FHLB Dallas and Wells Fargo for their roles in this very important project.”
