$160M Hospital Tower Opens in Upland

San Antonio Regional Hospital opened a $160-million new patient facility and expanded emergency department in Upland, CA. The four-story Vineyard Tower features advanced medical technology and 92 private rooms.

Additionally, the number of emergency department beds increased from 34 to 52, along with new private patient areas and 12 new intensive care units. The emergency department now includes on-site imaging equipment for CAT Scans, X-rays, as well as equipment for ultra-sounds, and blood-gas analysis.

The added overall patient bed count will reduced strain on the emergency department. Bottlenecks will be eliminated that resulted when patients remained in the ER simply because patient rooms were unavailable.
