2 Tenants Expand at Empire State Bldg.

A pair of tenants at the Empire State Building have expanded their office footprints, owner Empire State Realty Trust said. Infrastructure solutions firm HNTB Corporation has expanded from three floors to four, taking an additional 26,782 square feet for a total of 105,143 square feet.

Management software vendor Workday Inc. has expanded by 5,280 square feet at the Midtown icon. It now occupies the property’s entire 49th floor for a total of 26,681 square feet.

“HNTB and Workday, represent the 144th and 145th times that tenants have expanded with us since 2013,” said Thomas P. Durels, EVP, real estate for ESRT.

Sven Sykes of Colliers International represented HNTB in the lease negotiations. Robert Lowe and Paige Engeldrum of Cushman & Wakefield represented Workday. Landlord representation was provided by Ryan Kass and Shanae Ursini, along with Paul Glickman, Jonathan Fanuzzi and Harley Dalton of JLL.
