2,500-Acre Headquarters Ranch Sells to Hunt Realty, MXU Planned

Hunt Realty Investments Inc. acquired Headquarters Ranch from the Estate of Bert Fields Jr. The 2,544-acre site is the largest contiguous land assemblage remaining in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, TX. Hunt Realty is partnering with Karahan Cos. (developer of Plano’s Legacy West) to plan and develop a mixed-use project with commercial, office and retail space, single-family, multifamily residential product and educational components. Development is expected to begin in 2019.

Hunt Realty led the off-market acquisition along with its lead investment partner, Chief Partners LP. Other investors include CrossTie Capital, Ltd., Karahan Cos. and the Estate of Bert Fields, Jr.

“We are fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase such a coveted piece of land that has been under the stewardship of Bert Fields,” said Chris Kleinert, president of Hunt Realty Investments, Inc. “We see extraordinary development potential for the site, alongside our capital partners, and look forward to creating the next exciting chapter in the history of Frisco,” Kleinert added.
