The Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula is undergoing a $285-million expansion.
Located on the Pechanga Indian Reservation, the expansion includes the addition of a 568-room hotel, a spa, salon, restaurants and 67,000 square feet of event space, among other features.
Tutor Perini is the builder of Pechanga Resort & Casino, which is owned by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. The project is scheduled for completion in 2017.
Dr. Christopher Thornberg, founder of Beacon Economics, estimates that nearly 3,000 new jobs will be generated during the expansion, and each year moving forward, an additional 560 jobs will be created as a result.
