Hillwood Urban real estate firm is planning a high-rise office on the last vacant site along Dallas’ Turtle Creek corridor. The 17-story, 350,000-square-foot tower will be built on acreage at 3001 Turtle Creek Blvd. that has been vacant since the mid-1980s.
Hillwood bought the 3-acre site north of Uptown in late 2015. The Perot family is building its new headquarters campus across the creek at Bowen Street and the Katy Trail. Ross Perot Jr. runs Hillwood Urban. Pickard Chilton of New Haven, CT is designing the project.
At this time, Hillwood is looking for tenants interested in populating the building. “To build anything of this scale along Turtle Creek — well, it’s been awhile since that happened,” said Ken Reese, Hillwood executive vice president.
