3PL Expands Indiana Footprint

Plainfield, IN-based MD Logistics expanded into a fourth facility on its campus at 1301 Perry Rd. in Plainfield. The third-party logistics firm invested more than $1 million in building improvements to enhance the space, which consists of 180,000 square feet of temperature-controlled storage.

The expansion is needed to meet demand for quality compliant storage environments in the life sciences and retail goods industries, and to fulfill increased needs from current customers. MD Logistics plans to create up to 50 new jobs by the end of 2023.

MD Logistics’ Mark Sell says, “This expansion, along with the focus on customers, technology, automation and people, has us well-positioned to continue to evolve and be prepared to meet the challenges the logistics industry poses.”
