53-Acres Acquired in Scripps Ranch for Development

Carlsbad, CA-based Continuing Life Communities acquired a 53-acre land parcel in San Diego’s Scripps Ranch for $18.5 million. The buyer plans to break ground this month on The Glen at Scripps Ranch, a 450-unit assisted living retirement community.

Plans include apartments and single-family residences with attached garages, as well as 60 skilled nursing beds. The continuing care campus will include a fitness center and spa, tennis courts, short-game golf course, walking and cycling trails, and a movie theatre.

Colliers International’s David Santistevan and Gunder Creager represented the buyer, The Glen at Scripps Ranch, LLC, as well as the seller, Alliant Educational Foundation.

Santistevan says, “This is the last large undeveloped site in Scripps Ranch, which provides a spectacular location to develop a first class community that is greatly needed for the baby boomer population nearing and already in retirement.”
