$65M Concord Transit-Oriented MF Sets Ground Breaking

Santa Cruz, CA-based Argent Concord LLC plans to break ground next year on The Argent, a $65-million, 181-unit transit-oriented multifamily development in downtown Concord, CA. The project will be developed on a 1.5-acre vacant Blockbuster Video site, near the Concord BART station and Todos Santos Plaza.

The luxury apartment complex is targeting empty nesters and young professionals that ride BART to jobs in Oakland and San Francisco. Amenities include a third-floor deck and swimming pool, outdoor lounge and cooking areas, bicycle parking and work space, dog-washing stations and a bocce court.

The Argent will offer studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 646 to 1,053 square feet. Also offered are six townhomes with separate entrances that will rival the size of some single-family homes.

Construction is expected to span 18 to 24 months.
