Minneapolis-based Hunt Associates proposed Fillmore West, a mixed-use redevelopment of a 13.4-acre former industrial site in St. Paul, MN. The urban village concept is envisioned for up to 830 apartments, as much as 80,000 square feet of commercial space and a public greenway along the river.
The developer acquired most of the 17 parcels needed near Robert Street and Plato Boulevard in the West Side Flats district across the Mississippi River from downtown St. Paul. The five-building project is expected to roll out in phases starting this year, with subsequent phases commencing construction roughly a year apart.
Fillmore West’s initial phase calls for up to 150 units in a four or five-story apartment building, with 127 parking stalls. The next phase would add up to 190 units, with commercial space coming in the third and fourth phases.
