The former U.S. Airways building at 100 W. Rio Salado Pkwy. in Tempe, AZ will soon have new occupants. Payroll and human resources management ADP is using the 200,000-square-foot space to open a service center. ADP’s plan is to create up to 1,500 new jobs, and invest close to $34 million into the building.
ADP is already gutting the building, and is advertising jobs, with an eye toward a spring 2017 opening. The site will be used to sign up new ADP customers, as well as to service existing ones. U.S. Airways announced in fall 2015 that it would vacate the building, two years after its $11 billion merger with American Airlines. The building in the Hayden Ferry Lakeside East subdivision is owned by the city of Tempe.
