AECOM Takes Oakland’s Last Big Block of Space

Los Angeles-based AECOM is reportedly taking the only available office space of more than 50,000 square feet in Oakland. The global construction, engineering and professional services firm is set to lease 120,000 square feet at Lakeside Tower.

The 28-story, nearly 785,000-square-foot tower anchors Oakland’s thriving Uptown Area on Lake Merritt. AECOM says it’s consolidating employees from its existing offices in San Francisco and Oakland, and expects 600 employees to occupy the space at the 7.2-acre Kaiser Center property by September.

Cushman & Wakefield’s leasing team of Ryan Hattersley, Daniel Bisabri and Elisa Konik represents Lakeside Tower’s ownership group, that includes San Francisco-based The Swig Co. and Boston-based Rockpoint Group.
