Amazon Plans Another Mega-Facility in San Bernardino

Dallas-based Hillwood Investment Properties is developing a 1.1-million-square-foot fulfillment center for Amazon at AllianceCalifornia, a 2,000-acre trade and logistics center in San Bernardino. It is the online retailers’ second fulfillment center in the city, seventh warehouse in the state, and third Amazon building within AllianceCalifornia.

The site at 555 Orange Show Rd. is adjacent to the former Norton Air Force Base, and part of the overall project where Hillwood has developed more than 14 million square feet since 2002.

Amazon plans to create more than 1,000 full-time positions in the new San Bernardino facility. The new fulfillment center will pick, pack and ship smaller items, such as books, electronics and toys.
