This seems to be a trend we are seeing more and more of.
Down in Los Angeles County tractor-manufacturing firm Kubota recently left Torrance to move to the Dallas area because, among other reasons, Texas is supposedly more business friendly than California. Well, the same thing is happening in these parts, it seems.
Volex, which makes power cords, fiber-optic materials and similar electronic-support equipment, is fleeing Santa Clara for Austin’s Domain multi-purpose area. It’s not a big loss, since the firm only has 15 employees, but it plans to more than double its worker count to 40 once it makes the move.
We will keep you posted on how this trend plays out in the future.
