It’s pretty well known that experiential retail is the wave of the future.
Well, the future has arrived in the form of magic mirrors. Fashion and apparel designer Rebecca Minkoff opened a Los Angeles flagship store, on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, over the summer with that technology installed.
These interactive magic mirrors that are in dressing rooms can show a person what their apparel item would look like in a different size or color. One is also able to purchase alternate items via e-commerce, after they have their in-store experience.
Minkoff, based in New York City, says that her “connected” stores have better sales results than locations that don’t offer such features.
