Austin Apartments’ Co-working Space Points to WFH Trend

Citadel at Tech Ridge, a recently-opened luxury multifamily complex in North Austin from Inland National Development Company and Cambridge Development Group, counts co-working spaces and a business center among its amenities. It’s a trend that Britt Design Group’s Laura Britt thinks the market will be seeing more of, in view of the working-from-home trend due to COVID-19.

“More and more people had already begun working remotely due to increased traffic and longer commute times in Austin,” said Britt. “Prior to the pandemic, at least 40% of residents in our multifamily projects worked from home in some capacity. We not only expect this trend to continue, but we expect it to grow due to the efficiencies garnered through this WFH period.”

Located near Dell, Apple and Samsung campuses, the 12-building Citadel at Tech Ridge complex is giving virtual tours during the stay-at-home period.
