Auto Supplier Investing $105M to Expand Southeast Michigan Facilities

Brose North America Inc. continues to expand its footprint in Southeast Michigan with a $105-million expansion of its U.S. headquarters in Auburn Hills and a plant in New Boston. The subsidiary of Germany’s Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG is growing to meet demand from new automaker contracts.

The latest capital infusion follows a nearly $202.6-million 775-job plan announced in 2014. The auto supplier works with Ford Motor Co., FCA US LLC, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.

Brose is adding 300 testing technicians and technical support professionals at its HQ in Auburn Hills, as well as skilled operators and production line technicians at a manufacturing plant in New Boston. It is also investing in new equipment for the paint, weld and track assemblies for seat structures.
