Baylor Scott & White Hanging Shingles in Downtown Austin

Baylor Scott & White which has operated within Austin, TX’s suburbs and around the city’s periphery, is expanding downtown. Specifically, the healthcare system announced plans to open a pair of urban clinics by the end of January.

One will be a 6,000-square-foot clinic at 200 E. Cesar Chavez St. The clinic will be on the ground floor of the parking garage that is east of One Eleven, on Congress Avenue. The facility will eventually expand to 10,000 square feet.

The other clinic will open at 2608 Brockton Dr., just east of The Domain, the mixed-use development off Burnet Road. That clinic will open at 10,000 square feet, with plans to expand to 17,000 square feet.

“There’s a great opportunity in the downtown area with such a dense population, and at this point there are not many health care providers,” Baylor Scott & White’s Colleen Sundquist told the Austin Business Journal.
