Best and Worst Metro Cities to Afford Rent

Axiometrics recently looked at the rent-to-household income ratio of 28 metro areas across the nation to determine where rent is most affordable.

Unsurprisingly, the top three least affordable markets are:
New York (53.8%)
Los Angeles (43.7%)
San Francisco (42.1%)

The top three most affordable:
Little Rock (16.5%)
Salt Lake City (17.1%)
Las Vegas (17.2%)

Los Angeles is expected to become less affordable, as Little Rock should remain the most affordable and get even better in 2020, with a rent-to-household income ratio decreasing to 16.2%.
