The Beverly Center is set to undergo a “comprehensive” renovation, designed to freshen up the outdated 1980’s-era mall. Michigan-based owner Taubman Centers noted on its earnings call last week it will reveal detailed plans for the “re-envisioned” center next month.
The retail owner says it wants to transform the 883,000-square-foot center into “L.A.’s most exciting, dominant, urban shopping and dining experience.” Taubman believes a revitalization will allow it to better capitalize on the mall’s prime location, market density and affluence.
Beverly Center features a collection of luxury brands. More than 4,000 registered fashion stylists routinely buy product at Beverly Center for use in TV and movies.
