Biotech Firm Expands, Relocates to BioMed’s Coast 9 in San Diego

Aspyrian Therapeutics, a privately funded clinical stage biotechnology company, moved its headquarters into 20,074 square feet at Coast 9 in San Diego. Owned by BioMed Realty Trust, Coast 9 is a nine-building, Class A life science campus located in Sorrento Valley. Aspyrian’s laboratories and offices are located in the 11080 Roselle building.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Ted Jacobs represented the tenant in the lease transaction. JLL’s Grant Schoneman and Chad Urie advised the landlord.

“Prior to this lease, Aspyrian Therapeutics had recently signed a lease for 8,000 square feet, but had a need for future expansion space” that couldn’t be accommodated at its previous location, said Jacobs. “Our team was able to focus on a building that required limited tenant improvements, while partnering with one of the largest life sciences landlords for future expansion space,” he said.
