Blackstone Selling Oak Brook Office to Zeller for $125M

Blackstone Group has reached a deal to sell the three-building Commerce Plaza in Oak Brook, IL to Zeller Realty Group. If the $125 million transaction goes through, it will be the largest Chicago suburban office deal so far this year.
Commerce Plaza is at 2001, 2015 and 2021 Spring Rd. The 515,000-square-foot complex is more than 95% leased, with the largest tenant being TreeHouse Foods, which has approximately 100,000 square feet. CBRE’s Paul Lundstedt and Dan Deuter are representing Blackstone.

The private-equity real estate owner made news last year with its $1.3-billion purchase of the 110-story Willis Tower in downtown Chicago. The price was the highest paid for a U.S. office tower outside of New York City.
