Leading business and financial information network Bloomberg LP signed an expansion lease covering 204,442 square feet at 919 Third Ave. The new lease, which expires in February 2029, covers the entire fifth through ninth floors, and part of the 11th floor. The deal increases Bloomberg’s total tenancy in the 1.5-million-square-foot building to 458,998 square feet.
The 47-story building covers the entire block between 55th and 56th Streets, and has 1.5 million square feet of space. Other tenants include Bloomingdales, which has 204,442 square feet, and WeWork, which takes up 136,000 square feet.
The building is owned by SL Green Realty Corp., which negotiated the transaction in-house. Craig Reicher, Howard Fiddle, Chris Mansfield and Chris Corrinet of CBRE represented Bloomberg.
