Auburn Hills, MI-based BorgWarner opened its Noblesville Technical Center, a new 100,000 square-foot facility in Noblesville, IN, a suburb 25 miles north of Indianapolis. The new $28-million center combines operations from existing facilities in Anderson and Pendleton, IN, into a single site that features a 40,000 square-foot lab, which increases its research and development capacity.
The new facility at 141st Street and Olio Road is expected to help the vehicle propulsion manufacturer meet growing customer demand for products, by expanding the prototype building and testing capabilities for its electrified products. The building’s open concept office space is designed to spur employee collaboration and creativity.
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems’ Dr. Stefan Demmerle says the new facility “enables the research, development and testing of current and future hybrid and electric propulsion systems and components. This facility will be a key site in BorgWarner’s mission of developing clean, energy-efficient propulsion technologies.”
The Connect Industrial conference will take place July 11. For more information, or to register, log on here.
