The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) approved plans for a 350-foot tower on a Tremont Street parking lot, a city-owned site that was set aside for affordable housing. It’s one of three affordable projects BPDA okayed at its Feb. 13 meeting.

Millennium Partners affiliate MP Boston will work with Asian Community Development Corp., Corcoran Jennison Co., and Tufts University on the Tremont Street project, the Boston Globe reported. Along with the affordable housing, Millennium’s project will include a 200-key hotel and a parking garage for nearby Tufts Medical Center.

The housing will be about two-thirds rental and one-third owner-occupied, the Globe reported. Most of it is being funded by MP Boston through affordable housing requirements connected with the Winthrop Center skyscraper it’s building on the site of the Winthrop Square Garage. The city last week also awarded $7 million in housing funds for the project to Asian CDC.
