In an effort to further cut costs and consolidate, energy giant BP plc has put its 390,000-square-foot Helios Plaza building in Houston’s Energy Corridor up for sale. The news comes just a week after BP announced it would put nearby Westlake Four, a 562,000-square-foot building it has been leasing, on the sublease market.
Once BP sells the Helios Plaza building, at Interstate 10 and State Highway 6, it will lease back space from the new owner. BP will move its Westlake Four employees into Helios Plaza and the 949,000-square-foot Westlake One, which it owns and is renovating as part of consolidation efforts. BP will exit Westlake Four by the beginning of next year.
