Connect Los Angeles is coming on June 21st. Here’s where to get more details and register.
Bright Horizons Family Solutions signed a 17,000-square-foot lease valued at more than $9 million at John Hancock’s 21-story 515 South Figueroa in DTLA. The child care center is slated to open in the fall at the recently-renovated nearly 440,000-square-foot office tower.
“This is a pivotal addition to downtown Los Angeles and its ongoing residential growth, but it’s still just a drop in the bucket compared to demand,” said Colliers International’s Tim Dwight, who represented Bright Horizons. He notes bringing the greatly needed service to DTLA required addressing challenges such as complicated child care licensing and oversight regulations.
Bright Horizons operates more than 1,000 child care centers worldwide, and partners with some 1,100 leading employers across nearly every industry. This is one of the only centers not subsidized by companies in the area, which Dwight says, creates “equal opportunity for all downtown residents.”
John Hancock was self-represented.
