At Colliers International, Tyler Hague has built a team and business practice without relying on his company to feed him business, and has effectively curated all of the relationships and listings by himself. Colleagues say he has shown a prowess for negotiating multiple complicated real estate transactions simultaneously, and for making the requisite decisions that have allowed him to succeed.
This prowess enabled Hague and his team to amass $350 million in transactions across Chicago and other Midwestern markets in 2019. An example is the $42.75-million sale of the 93-unit Jackson Throop Place in Chicago’s West Loop, a deal that was buffeted by significant headwinds due to taxes and fiscal issues. Reportedly, only 15 deals of comparable size closed in Chicago’s CBD last year.
