Buchanan Street Moves, Buys Bay Area Office Assets

Buchanan Street Partners has moved its headquarters to a new location in Newport Beach. The commercial real estate investment-management firm has also been very busy as of late.

It recently acquired for its investors Rowland Plaza, a two-building class A office asset that totals 143,444 square feet in Novato, just north of San Francisco in Marin County. This follows a purchase the firm made in May — the South San Francisco Business Center, which is in that city and totals just over 112,000 square feet. Buchanan plans to renovate that asset to make it attractive to flex and other tenants that are involved in the scientific field.
