In analyzing the industrial markets of sister cities El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, CBRE’s Q3 2016 numbers pointed to positive net absorption, fairly healthy leasing activity and falling vacancy rates.
In El Paso, the vacancy rate remained steady at 8.7%, with net absorption at over 39,000 square feet. Little has been delivered to market, though approximately 319,000 square feet are under construction.
Meanwhile, across the Rio Grande in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, vacancy stood at 7.3%, with net absorption at 223,196 square feet. Approximately 1.4 million square feet is under construction, with more than 251,000 square feet delivered.
