Canada’s Ivanhoé Cambridge and U.S. investment partner Callahan Capital Properties acquired 125 S. Wacker Dr. in Chicago from MetLife for $145 million. The 31-story, 527,005-square-foot office tower is located at S. Wacker Drive and W. Adams Street in Chicago’s West Loop, near Union Station.
Property amenities include a fitness center, conference center and two floors of retail and retail space anchored by Au Bon Pain. The new owners plan to execute a value-add improvement program that will touch the lobby, elevators and amenity spaces.
JLL’s Bruce Miller and Nooshin Felsenthal negotiated the disposition on behalf of the seller, which acquired the asset in 2012 for $107 million. JLL’s Mason Taylor and Chris Cassata handle leasing at the property.
