Cinemark 14-Screen Theater Coming to NewQuest’s Waco MXU

Plano-based Cinemark Holdings, Inc will build a 14-screen theatre in the new Cottonwood Creek Market development in Waco. With amenities including Luxury Loungers and a Cinemark XD auditorium, the theatre will be part of a 143-acre, master-planned, mixed-use center developed by NewQuest Properties.

“The Cinemark theatre will anchor our entertainment wing, which will have an exciting collection of restaurants and retail in a beautifully-landscaped environment,” said Steve Alvis, co-founder and managing partner of NewQuest.

In addition to the Cinemark theatre, scheduled to open in spring 2020, Cottonwood Creek’s retail component will offer variety of other entertainment along with restaurants and shops. The center will also include 63 acres of apartments and office space.

Cinemark has opened theatres at a number of other NewQuest developments across Texas, including Stone Hill Town Center in Pflugerville and Katy Grand in Katy.
