City Seeks Proposals to Redevelop Two East Harlem Sites

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) posted an RFP seeking plans to redevelop two East Harlem sites. Both sites will include affordable housing alongside retail and community services.

The RFP seeks proposals to redevelop the current East Harlem Multi-Service Center site at 413 E. 120th St. Formerly a school, the building now serves as a hub for 12 non-profit community-based organizations. A proposal on the site must include a relocation plan.

Also sought in the RFP are proposals to redevelop the New York Police Department 25th precinct parking lot on the east side of Park Avenue, between East 118th and East 119th streets. The 75-space lot is currently used by the NYPD for emergency response, school safety and other vehicles.

Respondents may submit proposals for one or both sites. Deadline for submission to the RFP is Nov. 26.

Connect Texas Multifamily will take place August 15, 2019 in Dallas. For more information, or to register, click here.
