Denison’s Planning and Zoning Commission granted initial approval for two conditional-use permits at 4006 Texoma Pkwy. in Denison, TX. The facility owners now have permits that allow for mini-storage units, as well as a restaurant/dance hall in this city, which is 75 miles north of Dallas, and 15 miles to the Oklahoma border.

The property’s owner, Jonathan Earnhart, has been working on improving the 31,000-square-foot facility, with plans calling for small businesses and retail to occupy the space. Rachel Taylor, a prospective tenant for the development, indicated the restaurant would offer Cajun and fast food, opening up to night life and dancing after 5 p.m.

The initial approval will be sent to Denison’s city council for final approval. The P&Z Commission indicated that adequate parking would need to be on hand before a certificate of occupancy would be issued.
