Furnished-apartment provider Blueground has made its U.S. debut, with 100 apartments across some of Manhattan’s choicest neighborhoods, and aggressive expansion plans. Domestically, Athens-based Blueground also has a presence in San Francisco.
The company has partnered with companies such as Related Rentals, Stonehenge NYC, Clipper Equity and Pinnacle City Living, offering apartments in neighborhoods that include Chelsea, Midtown West, Tribeca, SoHo, West Village and the Financial District. “Using Blueground to fill units ensures steady cashflow and value-added financing solutions that maximize a property’s annual yield,” said CEO Alex Chatzieleftheriou.
“As a hub for international business and operations, New York hosts thousands of people in need of medium-term or long-term accommodations,” said Saad Cheema, general manager of Blueground NY. “The current stock of corporate housing in the city has left much to be desired, and we are filling a crucial gap by providing modern, tech-enabled residences.”
