Flexible workspace provider Knotel has selected its first location in Boston. The company will lease 26,000 square feet on the first and second floors of 239 Causeway St., near North Station.
Knotel’s expansion into Boston comes at a time when competitor WeWork’s valuation has fallen from $47 billion to $8 billion, and its CEO was forced out while as many as 4,000 employees may be laid off. WeWork is Boston’s second-largest office tenant.
“Boston is the ideal fit for Knotel’s enterprise clientele,” said Eugene Lee, CIO at Knotel, in a statement. “We continue to see strong customer demand in that city, and we expect to be in many more buildings there in 2020.”
