Craft Beer and Jacksonville Real Estate

As consumers are shifting retail purchases from brick-and-mortar stores, the retail commercial real estate market in Jacksonville, FL, has had to rethink how to use that space. The answer is beer and craft breweries. In Jacksonville, these breweries are opening and expanding in long-neglected urban core areas.

As of this past summer, 11 independently-0wned craft breweries and pubs operated within Duval County, totaling 180,000 square feet of retail space. Fifty-four percent occupy single-tenant buildings, while 46% are in multi-tenant buildings. What’s even better is that a brewery or pub likes antiquated buildings that typical commercial real estate users might pass on.
