By: Daniella Soloway

After 11 years of unparalleled service and 25 years as an organizational leader, Commercial Real Estate Women Network’s (CREW) CEO and foundation president Gail Ayers, Ph.D. announced her plans to retire at the end of this year.

Her long list of accomplishments and initiatives include: CREW Network Certificate in Leadership program, a year-long program focused on leadership development and mentorship for women in CRE; as well as a Scholarship Endowment, which has benefitted 90 women so far.

Ayers has been recognized as a Woman of Influence (Real Estate Forum, 2008), an Outstanding Woman in Commercial Real Estate (NREI, 2010), and was awarded the Yellow Rose of Texas in 2011. This year, Real Estate Forum named her a 2016 Best Boss in Business.

CREW will consult with an executive search firm to locate its next leader, but until then, Ayers will continue in her roles until retirement, when she plans to spend time with her grandchildren and travel the world with her husband.
