Cushman & Wakefield Handles Trio of Fort Lauderdale Leases

A trio of office leases were consummated at Ivy Realty’s 1 East Broward in Fort Lauderdale’s central business district. The transactions total more than 88,000 square feet and involve KEMET Corporation, Alms Health and Veritext at the 19-story, 350,000-square-foot Class A office tower developed in 1984.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Travis Herring, Deanna Lobinsky and Katherine Ridgway represented the Greenwich, CT-based building owner.

KEMET Corporation leased 64,095 square feet, and will relocate its U.S. HQ and more than 150 employees to 1 East Broward from Simpsonville, SC in the first quarter of 2018. NKF’s Jim Hollis and Michael Warren represented the tenant.

Alms Health signed a 9,679-square-foot lease expansion and renewal at the property, pushing its presence to 19,996 square feet. Platinum Properties’ Steven Evans represented the tenant.

Veritext renewed its lease of 4,039 square feet, and was represented by CBRE’s Zach Wendelin.
