Cushman & Wakefield’s Doug Harmon, Adam Spies and Kevin Donner will bring 711 Fifth Ave. to market early next year on behalf of the Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola acquired the 354,000-square-foot office and retail property, commonly known as the Coca-Cola Building, in 1983 as part of its acquisition of Columbia Pictures.

“711 Fifth is one of Manhattan’s best kept secrets, a premier boutique gem with a rich history that dates back to 1927,” said Harmon, chairman of capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield. “We look forward to working with the Coca-Cola Company as we seek a new owner for this world-class offering.”

The soft drink giant has determined that it doesn’t need to retain its investment in the Plaza District building to support its activities here. Coca-Cola and its bottling partner in the region, Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages, will maintain a sizable presence in the greater New York metropolitan area.
