Johnstone Supply signed a full-building lease for Dayton Street Partners’ newly constructed distribution center located at 4150 N. Knox in the North Side’s Old Irving Park neighborhood. The wholesale-distributor of leading brand HVAC equipment and supplies will use its 41,000-square-foot space as a showroom and distribution hub.

Dayton Street acquired 4150 N. Knox as a 1.6-acre vacant parcel in 2015. It completed construction on the distribution center in 2017.

Portland, OR-based Johnstone currently has multiple locations throughout Illinois. “We are thrilled to welcome Johnstone to our development,” said Dayton Street managing principal Howard Wedren. “Knox offers excellent access to Chicago’s dense North Side neighborhoods, expressways and public transportation.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Matt Cowie, Larry Goldwasser, Colin Green and John Marks represented Dayton Street in the leasing transaction. Johnstone was advised by Colliers International | Chicago’s Brendan Green.
