Brookfield’s DesignHive initiative, in which architectural firms design next-generation suites, has translated to the lease of more than 3,500 square feet of innovative office space in Houston’s 1600 Smith building. The office, designed by Houston-based Inventure Design, will be used as an incubator for a local company.
Inventure Design’s progressive workforce solution features a co-working environment that draws from opposing themes, like transparency vs. seclusion, and light space vs. dark space. Elements include open ceilings and glass walls.
The modern office is the first of four suites in the building to secure a tenant. Other participating suite designers include Rottet, Ziegler Cooper and Gensler.
