Developer Plans $1.5B, 1,400-Acre MXU Near Cincinnati

Lebanon, OH-based Union Village Development Corp. is planning a $1.5-billion mixed-use development in Turtlecreek Township, OH, a community 30 miles north of Cincinnati. The developer secured approvals on Union Village, a 1,400-acre community that’s envisioned to take shape over the coming three to four decades.

Construction is set to begin on the first phase in spring or summer 2018. Subsequent phases are planned to include a mix of 100 units of single-family homes, apartments and condos annually, along with retail and commercial uses. At final build-out, Union Village would include 4,500 homes and bring 12,000 new residents.

The project is planned on land west of Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choice’s main Lebanon retirement campus and HQ. The developer is an affiliate of Otterbein, which operates five senior lifestyle communities in Ohio. The land was part of more than 4,000 acres of the Shakers’ Union Village religious community in the late 1800’s.
