Developer Targeting Port Norfolk Peninsula for MXU

City Point Capital LP, based in Boston, MA, is targeting Dorchester, MA’s Port Norfolk Peninsula for a mixed-use development. City Point is interested in developing condominiums, a boutique hotel, restaurant, marina slips, and more on the site of the Russo Marine, a boat retail chain on Ericsson St., near the waterfront.

The building sizes are undetermined, with City Point Capital’s Ryan Sillery indicating that he wants to meet with community members before submitting formal plans to the Boston Planning & Development agency. RODE Architects is the designer.

Sillery paid $10 million in January 2017 to acquire 7.8 acres on the waterfront, which includes the Russo Marine store. The sellers included members of the Bruno family, and owners of the on-site Venezia restaurant, among others. The permitting process could take about a year, with construction lasting up to 18 months more.
