Disney submitted plans to the city of Anaheim, CA for a 700-room luxury hotel at the Disneyland resort. The proposed project, the first in two decades and the fourth hotel at the theme park, is planned on a 10-acre parking lot.
The hotel is being designed by Walt Disney Imagineering. Construction is slated to begin in 2018 with completion by 2021.
No theme for the property has been revealed, but planned amenities include a rooftop terrace, a rooftop restaurant, two pools and a “water play area.”
Disneyland Resort’s Suzi Brown says, “This new flagship hotel would create thousands of jobs and benefit Anaheim with more than $750 million in additional tax revenue over the next four decades, while helping the city reach its stated goal of attracting more high-end visitors.”
