DLA Piper inked a deal with Brandywine Realty Trust to take the top four floors of the under-construction 405 Colorado in downtown Austin. The total space the international law firm is taking was not disclosed, however Brandywine previously stated that floorplates average 18,000 square feet. The new tenant, the first to sign a lease in the building, will be relocating from Frost Bank Tower in Q1 2021.
Construction began on the building in March 2019. CBRE is handling leasing and marketing. The 25-story high-rise has a luxury sky lounge on the 14th floor, which will include a café, conference center areas, a fitness center, shower and locker rooms and covered outdoor terraces. Other amenities will include ground-floor retail, bike storage and car-charging stations.
