If it seems as though construction is ongoing in many cities, it could be because it is. In its report entitled “Optimizing the Owner Organization,” Dodge Data & Analytics noted that 92% of owners surveyed indicated that their projects exceeded the original scheduled deadline, while 85% said the developments were over budget.
The good news in the study was that fewer owners (63%) reported quality problems than budget or schedule. And among those, only 15% indicated they experience quality problems on more than 25% of their projects.
Survey respondents numbered 174, with 51% of the population reporting themselves as directors of construction, new development, facilities or physical plants.
