Downtown Retail Trades in Two CushWake Deals

Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of two Lower Manhattan properties. The ground floor and basement at 150 Thompson St. sold for $4.7 million, while 172 Elizabeth St. sold for $1.9 million.

The two properties traded for $1,105 and $704 per square foot, respectively. Cushman & Wakefield’s Robert Burton and Bobby Carrozzo represented the sellers in all marketing efforts.

The 7,800-square-foot 150 Thompson space, a retail co-op which could potentially be divided into two units, was sold by Schiffini USA to home furnishings company Safavieh. 172 Elizabeth, a multifamily and retail property, was acquired by David Zahabian from the estate of Russell Kolody.

“These buildings represented strong opportunities for the buyers to acquire properties in one of the strongest retail markets in the world,” said Burton. “With their locations in Lower Manhattan, the new owners will benefit from high traffic and the growing popularity of these neighborhoods.”
