Two developments in Downtown San Diego have recently gotten the green light from city agencies and are closer to becoming a reality.
Cisterra Development is building a a Ritz-Carlton hotel and Whole Foods on Seventh Avenue and Market Street. Meanwhile, Holland Partner Group would like to build a 34-story, 427-unit high rise in the area as well.
The Cisterra project could cost as much as $350 million, and would have 160 Ritz rooms in addition to the grocery store, as well as 115 apartment units and 156,000 square feet of offices. Holland’s proposal would add 51,000 square feet of office to the area in addition to the apartments units it would put online.
