DTLA Delivers 4,500 Residences in 2019 for Record Year

The report card is in, and the Downtown Center BID 2019 Year End report shows a record-setting 4,447 new apartments and condos delivered. According to the report, DTLA’s residential population has surpassed 80,000. And with 3,600 additional residences under construction and 35,000 more in the pipeline, DTLA seems primed for continued growth.

Also, a growing number of employers like Warner Music Group, Spotify, TubeScience, and Weedmaps took space in DTLA during 2019. Notable development milestones include the completion of Metropolis, the redevelopment of Music Center Plaza, the completion of The Bloc, and groundbreaking for The Grand on Bunker Hill.

New hotels include The Hoxton in the Fashion District and the SoHo Warehouse Members Club and Hotel in the Arts District, with The Proper (across from The Hoxton) and The Wayfarer (Financial District) are slated for 2020 openings.

Connect Los Angeles 2020 is coming up on March 26. It will bring together leading local, regional, and national developers, investors, owners, brokers, financiers and other major players for an afternoon of informative panel discussions, plus networking and cocktails.
